| Stacy is a member of the Environment & Natural Resources Division and has a wide variety of experience in representing clients in environmental regulatory and administrative matters, enforcement matters, private party suits, compliance counseling, and corporate and property transactions. She has represented clients in the areas of air, water, superfund and hazardous waste law. Her work also includes assisting clients in commenting on proposed agency rulemakings.
Prior to joining the firm, Stacy was a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Barbara A. Madsen at the Washington State Supreme Court and during law school Stacy worked as a law clerk in the Environmental Division for the Illinois Attorney General's office. |

Relevant Experience |
- Stacy's work has been with the electric utility industry, transportation industry, agribusiness (including ethanol producers), manufacturing companies, chemical companies, municipalities and oil companies.
- She has significant experience representing clients regarding compliance and enforcement matters related to the New Source Review program under the Clean Air Act.
- She has been involved in numerous administrative enforcement matters before EPA Region VII resolving alleged violations of air, water, and hazardous waste laws, including resolving superfund liability issues. These matters have also included assisting clients in negotiating administrative orders on consent to remediate contaminated properties under CERCLA and RCRA.
- She has been involved in various private party civil suits to recover remedial response costs under CERCLA, common law and contractual indemnification, and other common law claims.

Of Note | Stacy currently serves as a co-chair of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association's Environmental Committee. She is also the legal chair for the Metropolitan Area Air Planning Committee for 8-hour ozone non-attainment. Stacy is an active member of the American Bar Association's Section on Energy and Environment. She served as the vice-chair for the Hazardous Waste Committee for the last three years. Stacy was an editor and co-author of the Superfund and Hazardous Waste Chapter of ABA's Section in Energy and Environment's "Year in Review" publication for the last four years, which presents the administrative and judicial developments in environmental law for each calendar year.
Stacy was recognized as up-and-coming in the 2009 edition of Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business in environment. Chambers called Stacy an “incredibly talented young lawyer” who is “coming into her own as one of the top regulatory experts in Missouri.” In addition, Stacy was named to Ingram’s 2009 class of 40 Under Forty. |
