Noteboom Honored for Outstanding Board Service by Twin Cities Business

Press Release
08.22.2022

Stinson LLP is pleased to announce that Partner Todd Noteboom has been honored by Twin Cities Business with the 2022 Notable Nonprofit Board Service award for his service as Chair of the Board of Directors of the Children's Theatre Company. The annual award recognizes individuals who lend their professional expertise to many of Minnesota's vital businesses and nonprofits through board leadership.

Noteboom has served nine years on the Children's Theatre Company Board of Directors, and has served as Board Chair since 2019. The Children's Theatre Company nominated Noteboom because of his "calm, focused and strategic leadership during the global pandemic."

"In March 2020, the Children's Theatre Company was forced to shut down for what would eventually be 19 months. Todd's two-year term as Board Chair was to end in 2021, but he willingly stayed an additional year to lead us through this existential crisis, ensuring stability at a time when the organization faced immense uncertainty," Children's Theatre Company Managing Director Kimberly Motes said. "Todd partnered with staff leadership to navigate multiple scenarios, and his compassionate and visionary leadership helped our board and staff see beyond the horizon and actually increased philanthropic/government support during this time, so the theatre could reopen in November 2021."

Children's Theatre Company Artistic Director Peter Brosius added, "Because of his diligent and transparent communication, the board remained committed, generous, and productive during a time when it would have been easy to feel disconnected."

In addition to supporting the mission of the Children's Theatre, Noteboom currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Guthrie Theatre and the Minnesota Business Partnership.

In his legal practice, Noteboom is one of the most sought after litigators in Minnesota and throughout the country. For nearly 30 years, he has defended major U.S. corporations and their senior executives in material litigation, enforcement proceedings and investigations, with an emphasis on matters for the financial services and insurance industries. Noteboom regularly defends clients in "bet the company" litigation, in addition to representing clients in complex securities litigation, arbitration and regulatory investigations and proceedings involving the SEC, FINRA, state regulators and state attorneys general.
