Deanna joined the firm in 2009 as a litigation associate. She is a certified Immigration Compliance Specialist, focusing on I-9 compliance issues such as balancing employer compliance with non-discrimination, conducting I-9 self audits and using E-Verify.
During law school, Deanna was active in the Student Bar Association, Public Service Advisory Board, Black Law Students Association, JD/MSW Society and the Society of Black Student Social Workers. She was also a teaching assistant for the "Law for Social Workers" course. Prior to joining Stinson, she served as a sentence mitigation intern for the Federal Public Defender for the Eastern District of Missouri.
Deanna received the Jack Garden Humanitarian Award for her contributions to her law school and community. She was also named the Public Service Law Student of the Year.
