As a partner in Stinson Leonard Street's litigation practice, Stefan represents clients in a wide array of litigation matters, focusing on business litigation, loan enforcement and lender liability defense. His litigation practice also encompasses civil rights litigation and appeals.
Frequently representing both businesses and business owners in contract and tort cases, Stefan's litigation work also includes the representation of clients in cases involving intra-corporate disputes concerning owners’ rights. His location in Stinson Leonard Street's Phoenix office, which has garnered a national reputation for successfully litigation civil rights cases, has provided great experience as he has both defended the government and represented individual plaintiffs suing for violations of their civil rights.
Stefan's prior clerkship at the Arizona Court of Appeals is a valuable asset in his appellate practice. His appellate experience includes representing clients before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Arizona Court of Appeals, and the Arizona Supreme Court. He has represented clients in appellate matters in diverse areas including immigration, anti-deficiency and personal jurisdiction.
In 2014, Stefan was honored for both his legal and civic work with election to the American Bar Foundation – an honor reserved for less than one percent of attorneys in each jurisdiction.
