Real Estate Alert: Property Tax Appeal Deadlines

Missouri real property owners who feel their current assessment is wrong, resulting in a tax bill that is too high, have the right to appeal in 2010. Deadlines for appeals to the Board of Equalization are rapidly approaching. In Clay and Platte Counties, the deadline is Monday, June 21, 2010. In Jackson and St. Louis Counties and in the City of St. Louis, the deadline is Monday, July 12, 2010.
