The final deadline for filing property tax appeals to the Board of Equalization in Jackson and St. Louis Counties, and in the City of St. Louis is Monday, July 12, 2010. If you are a property owner (and that includes financial institutions that have recovered property) and you feel the value placed on your property by the assessing authorities is too high resulting in excessive taxes, now is the time to consider an appeal.
