Scope of Service Our Product Liability Division has a national practice. We represent manufacturers in product liability lawsuits as national coordinating counsel in every state and have defended product manufacturers at trial in more than 25 states. We have obtained an authentic depth of product knowledge in aviation, propane & natural gas, consumer goods, transportation & industrial equipment, and pharmaceutical & medical devices. We also have unique experience in mass tort and toxic tort cases across the country, and we have created warnings and safety programs directly with engineers and risk managers during the manufacturing process. Our experience includes: Aviation We have defended manufacturers of aircraft, airframe and aviation components at trial and during FAA regulatory actions arising from product failures, poor maintenance, STC and PMA compliance, FAA-approved repair stations and aircrew negligence. Propane & Natural Gas We have more than 80 years of cumulative experience defending pipeline companies, retailers, and wholesalers in the transportation, distribution and sale of propane and natural gas. Our lawyers frequently defend complex cases involving multiple defendants, multiple deaths and high exposure claiming disabling and disfiguring injuries. Transportation & Industrial Equipment Our lawyers have solid experience defending manufacturers of farm and construction equipment, over-the-road trucks, concrete cutting equipment and welding rods. These are highly sophisticated products that require us to work directly with your engineers and designers in defending these products during litigation. Consumer Goods Many of our clients manufacture home appliances, smoke detectors, sporting goods, garments, camping equipment, water heaters, telecommunications equipment and automobile tires. We have defended these products in multiple states and are well-versed in the consistency required in these cases and the product knowledge necessary to defend the company at trial. Pharmaceutical & Medical Devices We have experience defending both over-the-counter medications and prescription pharmaceuticals in state and federal courts. Our lawyers have worked with cardiac catheters, radiological equipment and pharmaceuticals in product defect and failure to warn cases.
