Paul has practiced in the areas of general income taxation, estate planning, nonprofit entities and cooperatives. He has had specific experience in advising clients with respect to mergers and acquisitions, organization of limited partnerships, joint ventures and limited liability companies, tax-exempt financing and complex matters of taxable financings. He advises clients in transactions in the energy industry including exploration and production activities as well as downstream activities. Paul has also had significant experience in advising members in the establishment and operation of nonprofit entities. He represents clients in disputes with the Internal Revenue Service at all levels.
