Stinson Morrison Hecker LLP Partner Adrienne Clair was recently elected to serve as Vice President of the Energy Bar Association (EBA). After her one-year term as Vice President, Clair will serve as President-Elect for 2013-2014 and then will succeed to serve as the EBA President the following year.
The EBA is a non-profit voluntary association of attorneys, non-attorney professionals, and students, whose mission is to promote the professional excellence and ethical integrity of its members in the practice, administration and development of energy laws, regulations and policies. It is an international, nonprofit association of members active in all areas of energy law, with approximately 2,600 members, six formal chapters across the U.S. and an increasing number of members across the U.S. and Canada.
"I am honored and excited to serve in this leadership position and to be a part of the EBA's continued success." Clair said. "The Association has been an important part of my career development by providing quality educational programs and networking opportunities, and I look forward to continuing my work as an officer of the EBA."
Clair previously served as an EBA Committee Chair, Officer and Board Member, and she has been an active member since 1996. Her legal practice concentrates on representing clients on electric and natural gas matters before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and state regulatory commissions, including proceedings to enforce FERC’s rules for open access transmission service, regional transmission organization and independent system operator markets, and natural gas pipeline proceedings. She also assists clients in compliance matters, including enforcement actions and audits of existing compliance programs.
She has been listed in the 2010 and 2011 editions of Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business, which called her a younger partner "whose talent is instantly recognizable." She also is listed in the 2012 edition of Best Lawyers in America for Energy Law.
