Stinson Morrison Hecker LLP announces the addition of Sarah Toevs Sullivan to its Kansas City office. Previously with Bryan Cave LLP, Sullivan joins the Energy and Environmental Division as partner, further expanding and strengthening the firm’s services.

With more than 20 years of experience, Sullivan formerly served as Associate Regional Counsel in EPA Region 7 in Kansas City. In private practice, she has represented a variety of industries including electric and gas utilities, retailers, financial institutions and real estate institutions. Sullivan counsels clients on a wide range of compliance issues and she has extensive experience at sites involving manufactured gas plant waste, solvent-contaminated groundwater, PCB disposal, asbestos and lead.
Sullivan has co-chaired the Missouri Bar and KCMBA’s Environmental Law Committees. She co-chaired the ABA Committee’s 2008 Conference on Climate Change. She served on the American Bar Association’s Standing Committee on Environmental Law from 2006 – 2009. Sullivan received her bachelor’s degree and juris doctorate from the University of Kansas.
