Stinson Attorneys to Speak at EUEC 2012

Stinson attorneys Dave Tripp and Sarah Toevs Sullivan will be speak at the 15th Annual Energy, Utility & Environmental Conference (EUEC) in Phoenix, Ariz.

The three-day conference, "Clean Tech Strategies for Environment & Energy Security," will be held at the Phoenix Convention Center on Monday, January 30, – Wednesday, February 1, 2012. EUEC is the nation's largest professional networking and educational event, boasting involvement with more than 2,000 delegates, 600 speakers and 200 companies.

On January 31, Tripp and Sullivan will present, "EPA Cross-State Air Rule: Federal/State Breakdown?" at 7:30 a.m. This Stinson- sponsored session will focus on the Cross-State Air Pollution Rule, which requires states to significantly improve air quality by reducing power plant emissions that contribute to ozone and/or fine particle pollutions in other states.

Tripp is chair of Stinson's Environment & Natural Resources Group and represents electric utility, pipeline, manufacturing and other companies in Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act and Superfund cases. Prior to joining the firm, he was Regional Counsel for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for 16 years. Sullivan has more than 20 years of experience in environmental law and represents numerous entities in all aspects of the law, including RCPA, Superfund, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act and EPCRA. Previously, Sullivan was Associate Regional Counsel for the EPA Region 7 in Kansas City, Mo.
