Anne Cotter is co-chair of the firm’s Venture Capital and Emerging Companies practice group, which focuses on providing advice to venture capital investors as well as emerging growth companies obtaining capital. Anne has broad experience representing business organizations ranging from entrepreneurial start-ups to large national companies. Anne delivers value to her clients through responsive counseling, efficient project management, technical precision, and timely and effectively delivering solutions focused on achieving business objectives. Anne regularly advises clients in all stages of their business, including choice of entity and related formation and organizational matters, private placements, debt and equity securities financings, mergers and acquisitions, joint venture structuring and negotiations, complex commercial agreements, product and service distribution, and licensing matters. Anne also works with closely held and family businesses, both large and small, advising their owners and boards on various issues ranging from sophisticated business and succession planning issues to governance and general corporate matters. Anne’s clients operate across a broad spectrum of industries, including manufacturing, technology, and real estate. Anne’s mergers and acquisition experience includes stock and asset purchases and mergers ranging in value from hundreds of thousands to hundreds of millions of dollars, representing both buyers and sellers. Anne has worked on equity and debt financings for growth and venture capital firms and has represented start-ups and growth companies looking to secure equity and debt financings.
