Allison serves as the firm's Deputy Managing Partner, and also is a member of the firm's Executive and Policy Committees. In addition to her firm leadership roles, Murdock has litigated cases in state and federal court courts throughout the country. Much of her commercial litigation experience in recent years has focused on trust and estate litigation including maintaining and defending trust termination and reformation actions, adversary probate proceedings and defending corporate fiduciaries against claims of fraud, negligence and breach of fiduciary duty arising out of the creation and administration of trusts. Such actions have included claims regarding indemnification, the diversification of trust assets, the investment of trust assets and the refusal to make discretionary distributions to trust beneficiaries.

Allison has represented corporate fiduciaries in jury and judge tried cases regarding the valuation of real estate held in trust
Allison has represented a major brokerage firm and a major trust company in a variety of matters, including:
- Defense of an action arising out of the creation and administration of a trust
- Defense of a securities arbitration action regarding derivatives transactions undertaken by clients in their accounts
- Defense of securities arbitration actions related to investments undertaken in trust accounts

Of Note

Allison and a team of the firm's lawyers successfully represented a major brokerage firm and some of its brokers in an arbitration of securities claims. The arbitration involved the defense of multimillion dollar derivatives transactions, including the pricing of complex options and financing transactions. The individual brokers were dismissed from the arbitration at the conclusion of the claimant's evidence. The arbitration panel also decided that mention of the claims should be expunged from the brokers' records.

Community Involvement

Allison is a board member for Cornerstones of Care, Inc., the parent organization for Gillis, Ozanam, Spofford, Marillac and Healthy Families Counseling and Support, and a member of its executive, finance and audit committees.
She is a past board member and board chair of Healthy Families Counseling and Support, a Cornerstones of Care agency.
